The phrase "a overlap of about" is not correct in English.
It should be "an overlap of about." You can use it when discussing the extent to which two or more things share common elements or characteristics.
Example: "There is an overlap of about 20% in the data sets we are analyzing."
Alternatives: "a shared area of approximately" or "a commonality of around".
