I tried a few more items that were either too large or too "Strictly Ballroom" for me, but there was one unequivocal hit: a sleeveless black stretch-satin wiggle dress with a cutout neckline and very nice tuxedo pocket details that remind one of the inarguable Boss skill with fine suits.
Stock up on the following: oversized tops/sweaters/cardigans, button up formal shirts, one nice tuxedo shirt, striped clothing, plain pants, plain v-necks, plain dresses, Peter Pan collar shirts, any collared shirts, high waisted pants/skirts/shorts and floral pattern clothing.
If you refuse to take up real instruments but insist on showing your love for Guitar Hero or Rock Band AND you have to wear a nice suit or a tuxedo more than two or three times each year, might I suggest these $50 Guitar Video Game Cufflinks?
If you already have a nice black suit consider wearing it instead of a tuxedo.
If you don't have a tuxedo or a floor-length gown, a nice cocktail dress cocktail dress or a suit may be acceptable.
But if you feel the tomboy in you, then maybe wear some dress pants and a nice top, too! (There are some people when wear tuxedos to school proms!) The choice is yours.
It goes without saying that Sophie's new world will also cough up a nice new man, about whom it can be said: "Even in a tuxedo he has that clean laundry smell".
Rubberesque mats on top of the carpet are a nice touch, sort of like wearing lug-soled rubber wading boots over your tuxedo shoes.
