He, Y., Chen, H. Y., Hou, J. & Li, Y. Indene C60 bisadduct: a new acceptor for high-performance polymer solar cells.

A new acceptor unit with high solubility octyloxy-diphenylquinoxaline was synthesized with octyloxy-dibenzophenazine. The new D A type polymers poly(carbazole-octyloxy diphenylquinoxaline) (PCzPDTQ) and octyloxy-dibenzophenazine) (PCzFDTQ), which adopted carbazole as a donor, were polymerized through a Suzuki coupling reaction.

A series of donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugated copolymers (PBDTNT, PCDTNT, PFDTNT, and PNDTNT) based on a new acceptor unit of 4,9-dithien-2′-yl-2,1,3-naphthothiadiazole (DTNT) and different donor unit of benzodithiophene, carbazole, fluorene, or naphthalene, were synthesized and characterized as donor in polymer solar cells (PSCs).

Two fluorene- and carbazole fused triphenylamine-based metal-free organic polymer sensitizers that use 2-nitropyridine as a new acceptor anchoring mode but with different π-bridges of fluorene (FT04) and carbazole (CT04) have been designed, synthesized, and used as photosensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).

Spectra obtained with Qtracker705 in the presence of 64Cu showed an apparent maximum for the energy donor from 400 550 nm for Cerenkov radiation (attributed to inverse wavelength-, refractive index-, depth- and detector-dependent characteristics) and a new acceptor peak centered on 705 nm corresponding to the emission of Qtracker705, consistent with Cerenkov radiation energy transfer.

A single nucleotide substitution (c.210-14A > G) within intron 3 of the PTEN gene created a new acceptor-splicing site 13 nucleotides upstream of exon 4.

Results indicate that MDN-PCBM is a more promising new acceptor than PCBM for high-performance PSCs.

The absence of the 1s(p 3/2) → 4s(p 3/2) electronic transition (10? in Fig. 6 and Table S3, Additional file 1; marked blue cross in Fig. 7) caused by merging the p 3/2 valence band (upper blue line in Fig. 7) with the 4s(p 3/2) boron acceptor state indicates unambiguously on the formation of a new shallow acceptor level at ~37 meV associated with B-C nanosheets.

A new shallow acceptor level associated with B-C nanosheets at ~37 meV and the spin-orbit splitting of the valence band of ~6 meV are observed in electronic Raman scattering.
