For the as-synthesized film, a narrow reflection with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) value of 0.05° was detected at 0.85°, indicating a highly-ordered structure with a d spacing of 10.4 nm along the film normal.
To obtain an improved linear variable polymer grating with narrower reflection peaks, we then controlled the writing beam intensity to reduce the higher harmonic components.
A narrow, strong reflection peak from the (101) plane was identified at 2θ = 25.4°.
