Taken together, ITC and FP assays reported here both gave comparable results and suggest that mono- and dimethylated lysines in the N-termini of H3 and H4 are all bound with similar micromolar affinities, whereas unmethylated and tri-methylated peptides are bound with much reduced affinity.
