It can be used when discussing the need for a numerical or data-driven assessment of a situation or variable.

In the meantime, the peaks at 55.5° in curves e' and f' indicate the possible existence of CdO material under 9.0 and 10.0 V [49], which was further supported by EDX measurement (the more quantitative estimation is given in Additional file 1: Table S2) and may partly explain the color change at 9.0 and 10.0 V.
