The phrase "a more positive affect" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing emotional responses or the impact of something on someone's mood or feelings.
Example: "The new policy has led to a more positive affect among the employees, boosting overall morale."
Alternatives: "a more positive emotion" or "a more favorable response".
