The phrase "a model of preferential" is not correct and lacks clarity in written English.
It may be intended to describe a model that demonstrates or exemplifies preferential treatment or choices, but it needs additional context to be usable.
Example: "The study presented a model of preferential treatment in resource allocation among different groups."
Alternatives: "a model of preference" or "a model of selection".
It has been suggested that the scale-free properties of biological networks may in part be due to a model of preferential attachment by means of gene duplication, whereby new nodes preferentially attach to existing highly connected nodes.
We study the small world network, a model of preferential linking structure, and the classical Erdős Renyi random graph as particular examples of network topologies.
