The pgk expression vector was introduced into a model l-glutamate-producing strain, E. coli MG1655 Δ sucA.
Specifically, the E. coli MG1655 Δ sucA strain, which lacks α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase activity, has been used as a model l-glutamic acid-production strain [ 9, 10].
We validated this hypothesis through a fermentation experiment involving a model l-glutamic acid-production strain, E. coli MG1655 Δ sucA in which the phosphoglycerate kinase gene had been amplified to cause accumulation of 3-phosphoglycerate.

The residual materials were dissolved in 0.5 mL acetonitrile then analyzed for PAHs by a Hitachi Model 600 HPLC (Hitachi, Japan) equipped with a Model L-7485 fluorescence detector (Hitachi, Japan) and a 4.0 mmφ × 250 mm column packed with Wakosil-II 5C 18HG (Waka Pure Chemicals Industry, Ltd., Japan).
Concerning the analysis of the 5-HTTLPR/rs25531 the ANCOVA results showed an effect using a dominant L model (L'L' + L'S' vs. S'S' p = 0.05, Table 1).
