The findings of different studies imply that a mode-of-administration effect exists [20, 21, 22].
However, if data of a minor genotype is available in most included studies, pooling using a genotype-approach is better because this method provides the effects of heterozygous and homozygous genotypes, which will lead to suggestions for a mode of gene effect.
We however could not assess a mode of gene effect for TGF β1 at codon 25 polymorphism since there was no CC genotype in non-rejection group for all studies.
