The phrase "a man of thorough" is not correct in English.
It seems to be an incomplete expression. It could be used in a context where you want to describe someone as being thorough, but it needs to be completed, such as "a man of thorough understanding" or "a man of thorough knowledge."
Example: "He is a man of thorough understanding when it comes to complex theories."
Alternatives: "a man of great depth" or "a man of complete knowledge."
