It can be used when discussing the results or outcomes of multiple trials in a study or experiment, indicating that more than half of the trials yielded a certain result.
Example: "In our research, a majority of trials showed a significant improvement in performance after the intervention."
Alternatives: "most of the trials" or "the greater part of the trials".
