Now, it seems that the movement of drag into a more mainstream space doesn't have to make it any less subversive a practice, so long as you're creative and find new ways to push boundaries.
The fallout from Snowden's big reveal is clearly attracting new players to what could potentially become a much more mainstream space.
However, the social features (currently in invite only beta in the Netherlands initially) involved with archiving texts will put TMS into a new – and perhaps more mainstream – space, more associated with the likes of Twitter and perhaps life-archiving startups like Rememble and Miomi.

She says when ballroom dancers are invited into mainstream spaces the performance aspect is often the only thing highlighted.
