The phrase "a lovely section" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe a part of something, such as a text, a garden, or a piece of music, that is particularly pleasant or appealing.
Example: "The book has a lovely section that beautifully describes the protagonist's childhood memories."
Alternatives: "a charming part" or "a delightful segment."
There's a notably lovely section in which Scharf imagines how our understanding of the universe would have been affected had the Earth been the moon of a gas giant, or had we been orbiting twin suns.
