There is a grammatical transitivity concord between a lexical verb and the mood auxiliary.
As presented in section A grammatical sketch of Tsou, grammatical transitivity is morphologically marked on a lexical verb as well as on the preverbal mood auxiliary in Tsou.
A Complement, or an Adjunct, which occurs immediately after a lexical verb and before a Subject, is also considered part of a marked Theme.
In low adverbial verb constructions, the first verb is always an adverbial verb, such as manner and frequency adverbials, and the second verb is a lexical verb.
What is most relevant to the main point of this paper is that a lexical verb is morphologically marked for grammatical transitivity.
The former contains an initial lexical verb in its predication and has the pattern V-SBJ-COMP (verb-Subject-Complement). The latter consists of an initial noun functioning as a Subject followed by a Complement (COMP), or a lexical verb.
