In clinical settings, iterative reconstruction (IR) modality is another recently explored diagnostic approach that produces uniform low noise and high contrast images with good accuracy at significantly lesser radiation dose [ 44, 45].
Such clear-cut exposure patterns are rare in environmental epidemiology, except perhaps radiation exposure from use of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and, to a lesser extent, ionizing radiation from accidents at nuclear reactors.
A csk1Δ strain was more sensitive than a wild-type strain to killing by ultraviolet light (UV; Fig. 1A) and, to a lesser extent, ionizing radiation (IR; Fig. 1B).
We also found that previous RT strongly increased both spontaneous and in vitro radiation-induced MN levels, and to a lesser extent, the radiation-induced DNA damage assessed by the Comet assay.
In biological experiments, to excite semiconducting metal oxides (e.g. TiO2), the UV radiation is used, mainly in the near-ultraviolet range (UV-A, λ = 315 to 400 nm) [70-73], and to a lesser extent, the UV radiation with a wavelength in the indirect ultraviolet range (UV-B, λ = 280 to 315 nm) [70,72].
However, on hierarchical factor analysis, we found that the second order factor, interpreted as a correlate of the overall treatment experience, was driven nearly equally by ratings of the surgeon and medical oncologist, with a lesser contribution from the radiation oncologist.
The primary variables considered are: pool diameter, heat of gasification, flame sootiness as characterized by the inverse of the fuel smoke-point flame height, and, to a lesser extent, absorption of flame radiation by the fuel vapors just above the liquid surface.
The largest fraction of variance was, however, explained by the interaction terms of site with relative humidity (η = 1.45 %) and GPP (η = 0.98 %), and to a lesser degree with photosynthetically active radiation and air temperature (Table 4).
At the day scale, fluxes were mainly controlled by radiation and to a lesser extent by the VPD.
These improvements are especially pronounced in predominantly warm climates with high solar radiation and, to a lesser extent, low wind speeds.
