John Sharp, the father of Michael, posted on his Facebook page that the bodies of two Caucasians had been found in a shallow grave, saying that there was a "high probability" that it was the U.N. officials.
Larger funeral home franchises often dispose of unclaimed cremains ("in, for lack of a better word, a mass grave," says Shrader) after a year.
"The worst-case scenario is that a meltdown makes the plant's site a permanent grave," said Tetsuo Iguchi, a professor in the department of quantum engineering at Nagoya University.
"We immediately thought it was a mass grave," says Vercellotti, a biological anthropologist at Ohio State University, Columbus, who co-leads a field school here.
"A drop rises to the surface about every 20 seconds, sad and spooky, like a message floating up from an underwater grave," says David Brinkley, the program's narrator.
"More fun than an open grave," said Dan Ingram.
Still, the short-term risks of seeking an indictment are grave, said Alex de Waal, a Sudan expert at the Social Science Research Council in New York.
"This isn't a pauper's grave," said Ron Haulman, Evergreen's executive director.
"The greatest danger to an estate is managing it from the grave," says Arthur Richenthal, a New York lawyer involved in estate cases for half a century.
