The phrase "a good interpreter" is correct and usable in written English.
You can use it when referring to someone who is skilled at interpreting languages or information accurately.
Example: "In our international conference, we were fortunate to have a good interpreter who facilitated smooth communication between the speakers and the audience."
Alternatives: "an excellent interpreter" or "a skilled interpreter".

What makes a person's states have the content they do is that a good interpreter would interpret them that way.
