Dr. Xue-Yin Shi receives grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 81070880), the 12th Five-Year Key Project of PLA (No. BWS12J027) and Key Basic Research Projects of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, China (No. 12JC1410902).
The 40 cities with ongoing urban rail transit projects have developed the 13th Five-Year Development Plan accordingly.
As part of translational medicine initiative, China has supported a large number of CTM projects during the 11th and 12th Five-Year Plans through National High-Tech R&D Profram of China (863 Program), 973 projects and National Nature Science Foundation.
This analysis was conducted as a part of the "National Key Technology R&D Program in the 11th Five-Year Plan" project ("11th-5" project), which is a multi-centre epidemiologic and health economic study project supported by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology.
Prof Song has also been principal organizer and project leader of the Natural Gas National Key Technologies Research and Development Program of China during the 8th, 9th, 10th Five-Year Plan Periods and of the National Science and Technology Major Project during the 11th Five-Year Plan Period.
In China's 12th five-year plan hydropower projects are a stated priority.

"We must speed up preparation work to ensure a timely start to key projects in the 12th five-year plan, and push them ahead at a reasonable pace, while ensuring quality," the cabinet said.
In addition to the cities with ongoing urban rail transit projects, some 80 additional cities have initiated the preparatory work required for the construction of urban rail transit (e.g., planning, surveying, design, and consulting) and are extremely likely to launch their urban rail transit projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
Since the beginning of the 13th Five-Year Plan period, Chinese enterprises have successively undertaken a number of projects with international influence, including supply of metro and tram trains and light-rail projects for construction and operation.
