The phrase "a dut" is not correct in written English and does not convey a clear meaning.
It appears to be a typographical error or an incomplete phrase, and without additional context, it cannot be used appropriately.
Example: "I need a dut to complete this task." (This example is incorrect due to the unclear meaning of "dut.")
Alternatives: "a duty" or "a task."
A DUT can be inserted between the arms or at either end of the beam telescope.
With a proper alignment at hand, runs including a DUT are to be analysed subsequently in order to align the DUT with respect to the beam telescope.
For instance at 5 GeV, for a DUT with a material budget of ε DUT=0.002, a plane spacing of dz=20 mm should be used, if dz DUT is as small as 20 mm.
At 120 GeV, the intersection for dz DUT=100 mm occurs at a DUT material budget of ε DUT=0.2, which is considerably larger compared to the case of DESY beam energies.
For comparison, in a narrow configuration using a 5 GeV electron/positron beam, the track resolution of a EUDET-type beam telescope at a DUT with ε DUT=0.001 using GBL is about 3.7 μm making use of all six planes at dz=150 mm and dz DUT=100 mm.
For instance for a DUT with a material budget of ε DUT=0.001 solid lines) at 5 GeV, a narrow configuration shows a better track resolution for dz DUT<74 mm, while a wide configuration is favoured for dz DUT>74 mm.
The position of the intersection depends on the material budget of the DUT ε DUT and shifts to smaller dz DUT with increasing material budget.
Not really a dislike, dut….
Using an external ground-signal-ground (GSG) pad, a wire bonded to the QD-EAM, and a fiber-DUT-fiber measurement setup as illustrated in Figure 2 (bottom), we were able to perform preliminary radio-frequency (RF) measurements on the devices as shown in Figure 1 (bottom left).
One of the early methods for doing site-directed mutagenesis was the Kunkel method [ 11] that uses template DNA isolated from a ung- dut- E. coli strain.
In the classical Kunkel-method, the template is isolated from a ung- dut- strain of E. coli such as CH236 (New England Biolabs), which makes it incompatible with re-transformation into normal ung+ bacteria.
