Inertia effects at high pore pressures may lead to higher energy losses, resulting in a downward deviation on the Klinkenberg plot (McPhee and Arthur 1991); similarly, we also observed the downward deviation in one of the samples as shown in (Fig. 6).
For one other sample, we did observe a downward deviation in the Klinkenberg plots that indicates experimental error (Fig. 6).
