The clustering algorithm is a distributed scheme that utilizes randomized selection of cluster-heads to distribute energy consumption among sensor nodes.
Advantages of a distributed scheme include the ability to survive unexpected disturbances and decentralized data updating, which leads to efficient information sharing and eventually a faster decision-making process and operation [8, 17, 18, 19].
The objective of this project is the design of a tracking algorithm for a sparse camera network using a distributed scheme while trying to minimize the flow of information between the different camera processes, and its integration with other modes of sensory input.
