The phrase "a different text" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when referring to an alternative piece of writing or document that is distinct from another text being discussed.
Example: "If you don't find the information you need in this document, you might want to consult a different text for more details."
Alternatives: "another document" or "an alternative text".
