The phrase "a definite intention to" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when expressing a clear and specific purpose or plan regarding an action or decision.
Example: "The committee has a definite intention to improve community engagement through various outreach programs."
Alternatives: "a clear intention to" or "a specific aim to".
The data collected in our studies consist of ratings of attractiveness of different medical careers on a five-point scale, ranging from 'Definite intention to go into this' through to 'Definite intention not to go into this'.
