Developers will be able to take advantage of new input methods as the iPhone will differentiate a tap, a press and a deeper press.
The pressure-sensitive input method allows for a deeper press to be detected as a secondary type of input vs. a standard one, which could open up a lot of options for a completely touch-based smartphone.
