Outcome data were synthesized using relative risk (RR) as the effect measure; RR greater than 1.0 suggests that an intervention is associated with an increase in that outcome and RR less than 1.0 suggests a decrease in that outcome.
They have shown an increase in survival and a decrease in adverse outcomes when VT was set to 6 7 ml.kg−1 [ 28, 29].
