Treatment of vector-expressing BCBL1-TREx-RTA cells with doxycycline led to a decline in cell viability, which was consistent with the induction of lytic replication (Figure 5A).
A decline in cell viability was also notable after day 7 (Fig. 2B).
This agrees with Ebadi et al. (1995) who reported a decline in ovule viability by low temperatures before anthesis.
In this study, we observed that the decrease in ALP activity was accompanied by a decline in the viability of choncrocytes after CORT treatment at 10−9 -10−6 M.
To assess the critical periods during which developmental ethanol exposure leads to a decline in adult viability and developmental delay, we reared wB flies on 5%-ethanol food during discrete developmental stages.
The effects of ethanol were also examined during individual larval stages and, interestingly, exposure to ethanol during either the second or third larval instars resulted in a developmental delay, whereas a decline in adult viability was only observed with exposure during the third larval instar (Table 1).
In this experiment, whilst there was a decline in embryo viability across all treatment groups over time (two-way anova with Holm Sidak multiple comparison procedure, F2,107 = 24.9, P = <0.001, Fig. 4 Experiment II), there was no significant differences between treatment groups (F3,107 = 1.61, P = 0.191; Fig. 4 Experiment II).
The viability remained above 90% for both cell lines until day 10 after which CHO-K1 started a steady decline in viability while cMycCHO culture continued to survive at an average of 93% on day 16 compared to CHO-K1 which had a viability of 82%.
In the conventional Photosan group, cells incubated for 2 h at 10 J/cm2 cell showed a gradual decline in viability as Photosan concentrations increased from 0 to 20 mg/L, with significant differences in cell viabilities at different concentrations.
In Figure 1B they show a progressive decline in viability.
