The phrase "a contradictory view" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing differing opinions or perspectives that oppose each other on a particular topic.
Example: "In the debate about climate change, some scientists hold a contradictory view that challenges the mainstream consensus."
Alternatives: "an opposing perspective" or "a conflicting opinion".
But it doesn't seem to recognise that taking one position should have to preclude a contradictory view a second later.
