The phrase "a cluster of events" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe a group of related occurrences that happen in close proximity to each other in time or space.
Example: "The festival was marked by a cluster of events, including concerts, art exhibitions, and food fairs."
Alternatives: "a series of events" or "a group of incidents."
Hood says that "to have a cluster of events, a spate of attacks of this nature in one place, is extremely surprising.
And the British designer Tom Dixon plans to make chairs and lamps on a live digital production line and then to give them away for free as part of a cluster of events he is organizing at the Museum of Science and Technology.
