The tent-pole title was a bit of a glaring omission when it launched in March, a fact due in part to Nintendo's decision to get it just right.
Mielke highlighted the music as "one of the finest game soundtracks ever produced," but said that the game itself "staggers a bit under the glaring light of a critical rereview[sic]", arguing it is "little more than Space Harrier with a 3D camera and cut-scenes".
So there are omissions that must be every bit as glaring to you as they are to me.

Most notably, his skin lacks the horrid mottle of many TV adventures; and though the decision to skip the ageing makeup (Coogan is 47 to Partridge's 55) is initially disconcerting, that grotesque element might have glared a bit in widescreen.

Zach Lowe of SI.com's The Point Forward did a stellar job of explaining why the Thunder's starting lineup mucks up the team's offensive workings, but the defensive failings of that unit — while also a bit more straightforward — are more glaring.
"There were trees and traffic, so I had to do a bit of calculating, and glare in a carpark; I had to do some image enhancing.
