The phrase "a big total of" is not standard in written English and may sound awkward.
It could be used informally to emphasize the size of a total amount, but it's better to use more conventional expressions.
Example: "The charity event raised a big total of $10,000."
Alternatives: "a large amount of" or "a significant total of".
