This latter issue has been reflected in a number of Community competition law issues in recent years which inevitably question the validity of a liberal world order unless there is scope for wider competencies at the local level.
The objectives of this study were to map adult ICN training programs throughout Europe; examine what competency based training has been developed for ICN, and review current educational structures and process to enable possible barriers to a Europe-wide competency-based training program to be identified.
The standards include not only occupation-specific competencies – what people need to know to perform a particular job – but also industry-sector competencies, industry-wide competencies, workplace competencies, academic competencies, and personal effectiveness competencies that make people more employable anywhere.
Also, this catalogue could be a model for Austria, where no nation-wide competency-based catalogue currently exists.
For Germany, the efforts of the German Medical Faculty Association and the German Medical Association GMAA) to create a Germany-wide competency-based catalogue of learning objectives for undergraduate medical education, will not only define the levels needed to be taught to students but also further the importance of SBT and associated STCs [ 30].
At a minimum, school leaders must connect with their system's Aboriginal Education team to assess their school-wide cultural competency.
