Two CTVs were considered: a CTV1 which included the GTV, anal canal and a uniform margin of 1 cm; and a CTV2 which included regional lymph nodes at risk such as the external iliac, internal iliac, perirectal, obturator, presacral and the inguinal lymph nodes.
These results unequivocally identified three CTV genotypes in the FS2-2 complex that corresponded to the three major genotypes revealed by the resequencing microarray.
Sequences tiled on the microarray include full-length sequences of four CTV type strains, T3 (Hilf, unpublished), T30 [9], T36 [10], and VT [11], three-quarters of the strain T68-1 genome (Hilf, unpublished), as well as unique genomic sequences identified from five other CTV isolates [28].
There are already upwards of fourteen million CTVs in North America and an estimated 65percentt of TVs sold in 2012 will be CTVs.
