Whenever two CDF curves do not intersect (e.g., curves C 1 and C 3 in Fig. 5), the lower curve is superior because it always has a higher probability of achieving any given average PSNR.
However, it must be taken into account that C. crescentus NA1000 encodes in its genome seven RND systems, two CDF proteins and three P-type ATPases [ 25, 43] which also may have some role in zinc efflux.
Overall, 97.9% of all cross-validated samples were assigned correctly to their taxa by the two CDF's (O. arachnitiformis: 100%; Hybrids: 90.9%; O. lupercalis: 100%).
Then, the Kolmogorov Smirnov test is applied to these two CDFs.
Figure 3a shows that the two CDFs fit completely, while the splashes in Fig. 3b do not gather in a straight line.
