One of the most remarkable changes in the world of technology over the past decade-plus has been the new centrality of design as not just a product differentiator or branding device, but as an inherent part of the product development and distribution cycle: the linkage of design to both bottom and top line business prioritization in clear ways.
SDREM correctly predicts more RNAi screen hits than top genome-wide gene prioritization algorithms, and its predictions are better suited for experimental validation because they are placed in the context of influenza-specific pathways.

Nine distinct binding sites of six human miRNAs, hsa-miR-25, hsa-miR-92a, hsa-miR-93, hsa-miR-99b, hsa-miR-191, and hsa-miR-503 were top ranked by the prioritization with binding energy lower than -37 KCal/Mol and having at most two amino acid substitutions without effects on physical properties (see Additional file 3).
The genomes analyzed harbored 11 out of 14 Top primary LHON mutations; the prioritization process selected 8 out of 11 leaving out m.3700G>A, m.14502T>C and m.14484T>C (Table 2).
Rather than attempting to identify all gene interactions, which practically can not be found [ 35], we limit the prioritization to the top ranked pairs that are most likely to contain the genetic interactions which are informative of the disease etiology, i.e., disease pathways.
