In vitro binding studies in mammalian cells have revealed that SRP RNA is at the centre of structure of SRP complex.
Research findings indicate that SRP materials are more structurally efficient than carbon FRP (CFRP) materials.
However it wasn't until the 1990s that SRP activity was accepted as the leading cause of reservoir souring (i.e. an increase in H2S concentrations) in water flooded oil fields.
The findings show that there is a general consensus amongst researchers that fibre-reinforced piles (FRP) are structurally and geotechnically suitable for a range of load bearing applications, and that SRP piles, with adequate reinforcement, can potentially be used in deep foundations.
Even if long-term durability, shear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams and applications to masonry would still deserve more investigations, the research performed so far has already demonstrated that SRP is an effective and cost efficient solution for the rehabilitation of structures and that it can be reliably designed with the same relationships developed for FRPs.
Our current results also suggest the possibility that SRP has an additional quality control role in preventing cytoplasmic expression of membrane proteins when the targeting pathway is blocked.

One of the reasons to gain insight into the motivations of SRPs to visit the ED is that SRPs (47% of the ED population in our study) may contribute to overcrowding of the ED.

We show at physiologically relevant SRP concentrations that SRP-RNC association and dissociation rates depend on nascent chain length and the exposure of a functional signal sequence outside the ribosome.
Traditional analyses of binding rates, previously deduced from binding reactions using static, stalled RNCs, demonstrated that SRP-RNC binding kinetics are sensitive to nascent chain lengths but yielded conflicting results when describing SRP occupancy (Siegel and Walter, 1988; Bornemann et al., 2008; Holtkamp et al., 2012; Noriega et al., 2014).
To address this, we translated XBP1u mRNA in vitro using a wheat germ extract that lacks SRP that is compatible with the mammalian SRP receptor (Walter and Blobel, 1981).

Since I tried Ludwig back in 2017, I have been constantly using it in both editing and translation. Ever since, I suggest it to my translators at ProSciEditing.
