To understand better the needs from the perspective of the biocurators, we undertook a detailed study of the biocuration workflow for eight biological databases listed in *bold in Table 2. Members of the team (G.A.P.C.B., M.K., C.A., K.B.C) interviewed biocurators, and G.A.P.C.B. encoded the workflows in formal modeling language (UML) (see Supplementary Appendix A1).
The pattern strength can be used to study the sensitivity of the workflow in discriminating localized and non-localized RNAs.
