35 The efficacy of each treatment regimen was evaluated at 4, 8, and 12 weeks by calculating an overall acne severity grade and assessing its improvement over time.
The assignment of a patient to a severity grade (Mild, Moderate, Severe) was based on the distribution of the sample for the corresponding measure (Table 1).
The scale represents the spectrum of NLF severity from least to most severe (range 0 4) and has reference photographs for each severity grade.
That is, several functional limitations are involved, but the severity grade is low.
