Image sharpness was compared by measuring the diameter of point targets and directional edge sharpness.
To support good detectability of point targets and high-performance computing, this work proposes a point target detection system (PTDS) and a reconfigurable point target detection system (RePTDS).
The diameter of point targets increased only 2% with warping vs. 32% without warping and directional edge sharpness dropped 3.7% vs. 20.0%.
Thirty-four ERS-1/2 scenesenes are analyzed, and the deformation information over 38,881 point targets between 1992 and 2000 are generated.
However, as months went by without a successful capture — "point" targets, as individuals are called by military tacticians, are notoriously elusive — Bush rarely mentioned bin Laden's name in public.
For VHF/UHF/P/L-band SAR the TEC (Total Electron Content) can be obtained from the SAR echoes scattered by some strong point targets (such as the calibrators, etc).
Besides providing good detectability of point targets, according to our experiments, the PTDS and the RePTDS have been demonstrated that they can accelerate up to 165 times the processing time required by using the conventional point target detection method.
Two of these point targets are stationary.
