CyPhyWorks' Persistent Aerial Reconnaissance and Communications platform, also known as PARC, opens the unmanned aerial vehicle market to commercial customers.

Its products include Parc (persistent aerial reconnaissance and communications), a drone that can carry out round-the-clock surveillance from the sky if its tether is connected to a power source below.
Technically, the pilot voyage of this drone doesn't represent anything very challenging – even though the PARC (Persistent Aerial Reconnaissance and Communications) unit supplied by CyPhy flew itself, autonomous short-duration runs are pretty standard fare as far as drone operation goes.
The navy wants "an affordable persistent intelligence surveillance reconnaissance and targeting, or ISR&T system, with a precision strike capability," said Vice Admiral Paul Grosklags, the sea service's research and acquisitions chief.
SO, for example, researchers found data exposure related to the manufacturing sector that were leaked by a programmable logic controller and which had the names assigned to specific control systems and details of manufacturing processes; gold dust for the reconnaissance phase of an advanced persistent threat attack.
Because a reconnaissance flight into the system indicated a low-level circulation with persistent deep convection, it is estimated that the system became Tropical Depression Seven at 1200 UTC on September 7, while located about 440 mile north-northwest of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
