Multivariate assay approaches for lupus, RA, and other rheumatic diseases are being investigated.
Multivariate genomic assays that take input from ER and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (Hexpressionssion as well as from a number of proliferation-related genes can stratify ER-positive cancers into low and high risk prognostic groups objectively and this information is additive or complementary to prognostic risk based on tumor size and nodal status.
We describe the development and preliminary evaluation of a serum-based multivariate assay for ovarian cancer.
They are many fibrosis biomarkers and the two most investigated and validated biomarkers are the FibroTest (FT), a serum in vitro multivariate assay (FibroTest®, Biopredictive, Paris, France; FibroSURE® in the USA, LabCorp, Burlington), and the Fibroscan [Echosens, Paris, France], a measure of liver stiffness (LSM) using elastography [ 4- 9].
The F.D.A. is calling these tests "multivariate index assays".
We have developed sets of antibodies termed 'panels of diversity' which classify the biologic diversity of carcinoma, and we have now focused on using these panels to discover single or multiple reagents that can be combined using multivariate index assays to predict outcome for defined clinical applications.
