As shown in Figure 4B, 8 proteins including apolipoprotein A-I, AII, C-II and C-III were significantly over-represented in diabetic serum, whereas 6 proteins were significantly under-represented in diabetic serum, which covered some regulatory factors such as paraoxonase 1 (PON1) in lipid metabolism.
The gene ontology 'MHC class I protein binding' was significantly over-represented amongst cluster I genes (Table 2).
