"Most of the drug users I meet here and everywhere I've been, have underlying mental health stuff that's not being treated," said Hillary Brown, the founder of Steady Collective, a harm reduction program based in Asheville, North Carolina.

"From a clinical perspective, a lot of those I see in my own clinics, predominantly children, have underlying issues with not getting enough sleep, even if that isn't the problem they are presenting with.

"Well, certainly anybody who involves themselves in a profession with a public profile may well have underlying psychological motivations.
The patients being treated at William Harvey have underlying health conditions and are understood to be in a serious condition.
"If patients have underlying issues like body dysmorphic disorders then it could worsen it.
Giving psilocybin to people who have underlying psychotic disorders or schizophrenia can be catastrophic.
The authors recommend that those children should have priority – along with children who already have underlying health problems – for future vaccinations.
