If I was writing that last sentence on an iPhone, I might append a smiley face with sunglasses on, which – to me – means something like "cheeky bit of sarcasm", not "good job", as it apparently does to Mr Osborne.
The site also offers an embeddable music player that musicians can distribute across the web (example below) which allows users to leave a comment directly on a portion of a song (for example, I could append a comment in the song's timeline stating that I liked a certain guitar solo).
Many have written in asking for a photograph of Butterscotch herself, and though no work of mere digital photography can rival a Feiffer drawing for getting at the essence of a thing, I append one above, in case you see her in the park and want to ask for a paw-print on your magazine — or iPad, for that matter.
I also want to append a note on the Occupation, and its ills, that couldn't quite fit, thematically or spatially, into the printed piece.
Everyone has probably had enough of the Great "Tosca" Scandal at the Met last month — the last-minute firings and hirings, the tit-for-tat between directors old and new, the funny business with prostitutes and stunt jumpers, and, of course, the boos — but I'd like to append a few miscellaneous last thoughts.
