"I'm broadcasting on two 50,000-watt AM radio stations in New York City — the No. 1 market in the country — in rush hour," said Mr. Wagenblast, still delighted and amazed by the recollection.
"I remember when I was broadcasting here," Torre said, referring to his stint with the Angels.
"It was a few steps up from university radio and I was broadcasting to a few thousand people.
"I couldn't say anything, I couldn't even explain because I was broadcasting to the nation.
Not to name any names, but I was once very unpleasantly groped while I was broadcasting by a famous individual who shall remain nameless.
"If I was broadcasting on TV, they might shut down my programme, and I might not be able to express myself.
And with social media, people can chat with me while I'm broadcasting, and chat to one another, which is just as powerful".
"This is a small thing, but on the night of breaking the news that Northern Rock was bust, in September 07, there was quite a lot of criticism that somehow I seemed a bit tense that night when I was broadcasting.
One of the sweetest moments for me came from a little girl whose Dad was holding her up onto a barrier in front of the BBC studio where I was broadcasting – bang in the middle of the Olympic Park.
