Young trees were submitted either to a short-term water deficit by withholding irrigation 36 hours before harvest [early response (EAR)] or to a 10 day-long treatment, inducing a mild drought [long-term response to mild stress (LMI)] or a moderate drought [long-term response to moderate stress (LMO)].
