Near Tazzarine, a thick (up to 350 m) succession of alternating sandstones (storm- to tide-dominated, subordinate glaciation-related deposits) and offshore shales allows a compelling sequence stratigraphic correlation framework to be established for the latest Katian and Hirnantian (see Fig. 2).
