Unfortunately, the mission's primary payload, the joint NASA/ASI Tethered Satellite System, was deployed only to 256 metres (840 feet) of its full extent of 20 km (13 miles) owing to technical problems with a jammed tether line.

TIME/BISCAYNE covers an area with a maximum extent of 93 km north-south and 129.5 km east-west.
It has an extent of 65 km from East to West and between 10 and 16 km from North to South.
The anomalies around the Society hotspot and 400 km south of the Society hotspot have a lateral extent of ~300 km.
They attributed these VLF perturbation events to narrow-angle forward scattering from enhanced ionization associated with lightning discharges located ±50 km off the TRGCP and having a lateral extent of ∼100 150 km.
At depths of 140 and 180 km, we found a strong slow anomaly of about 5%%, 400 km to the south of the Society hotspot, with a lateral extent of 200 300 km; however, the size of this anomaly is comparable to, or slightly smaller than, the minimum lateral resolution of our checkerboard test.
For the 1833 event, whose MMI VIII isoseist is consistent with an 85-km-long rupture (Fig. 4), we test first a model with this lateral rupture extent and an updip extent of 40 km (Rupture model 1833_H1 Table 1, rupturing segment 1B in Fig. 4), this last value being similar to the downdip rupture extent in 2015, a rupture probably controlled by the geometry of the MHT.
Employing the new exploration model proposed, it was possible to effectively identify 99% of known hydrocarbon accumulations, although it was most effective at detecting hydrocarbon accumulation anomalies with a linear extent of over 2 km, and it also allowed a valuable ranking of the identified leads.
At small and medium extent (quadrates of 1 3 km), variability of local site parameters (e.g. fertilization, pH-value) was high relative to those of landscape parameters.
In contrast, at large extent (quadrates of 4 km) variability of landscape parameters was greater than that of site parameters indicating a fundamental shift in the relationship between these sets of parameters at different scales.
