The presence of several discrete quantities and discontinuous relationships requires the use of specific algorithms, and in particular of dynamic programming.
First, brief and discontinuous relationships have potential in primary care.
Multiple risk factors such as poverty, broken homes, neglect, sexual and physical abuse, discontinuous relationships, and genetic factors have an impact on the mental health of children and adolescents in residential or foster care [ 1- 5].
Although the data are discontinuous, the underlying relationship between the growth rate and the temperature (t) can be described by a mathematical function, such as high-order polynomials, that is biologically meaningful or statistically justifiable [10].

When the presence of gene clusters was superimposed onto this organismal phylogeny, and the subclade identity indicated by colour, two points were obvious – firstly, the distribution of clusters in ascomycetes is discontinuous; and secondly, the relationship of cluster subclades does not always reflect the relationship of organisms (Fig. 5).
Later, entire gene clusters moved by horizontal gene transfer between ascomycete lineages, producing the discontinuous distribution and phylogenetic relationships seen in the proteins encoded by the six common genes tested here.
FASSM method is driven by a neural network routine and was shown to be useful for difficult relationships such as discontinuous domains during whole-genome surveys and is demonstrated to perform accurate family associations at sequence identities as low as 15% [ 9].
Microlamination may be continuous for up to 5 mm across a number of columns and botryoids, or discontinuous, with local cross-laminae displaying onlap/offlap relationships relative to underlying laminae (Fig. 1b).
