Data inheritance and integration is one of the big challenges in implementing BIM technology for FM.
We begin with the implementation of abstract data types using classes, focusing on encapsulation of procedures and data, inheritance hierarchies, and polymorphism across different object types.
Besides data inheritance and integration, the design of existing BIM tools is another challenge.
